Grinding is something you either love or hate, but there’s one fact that remains true: it takes a lot of time. Time that some people don’t have. Thankfully, some games have decided to circumvent the grinding process in interesting ways. The multiplayer playtest for Metashift Labs‘s idle MMORPG Dominus Automa will be available August 7th on Steam.
In a press release, the team detailed the game’s key features:
- Automated IDLE gameplay – craft your hero’s priorities, combat style, reactions and long-term goals
- Ongoing adventure – even while you are offline, the world continues to
evolve- Full-scale MMORPG experience with player-driven economy, group content,
guilds, crafting and world exploration- No manual grind, meaningful decisions only
- Numerous ways to play and grow with no pressure on daily sessions.
Although players have been able to experience the world of Dominus Automa in its prototype version, the upcoming playtest will take things a step further:
- Automated gameplay
- 24/7 character persistence (even while offline)
- Numerous core MMORPG activities
- Hero progression and logic design
- A varied world full of biomes, enemies and boss fights
