Vanguard Exiles To Drop In Full In February Next Year

•

While one may think that a “famous name” will be consigned to a certain property for all of their days, many have ventured out to do something more, fresh, and new. For example, Richard Garfield is the man behind Magic: The Gathering, but he teamed with The Tea Division to make a special PVP card battler in the digital space called Vanguard Exiles. It’s been in Steam Early Access for a while, but today, the team revealed that an official release date for Version 1.0 has been set: February 4th, 2027.

Want to know what the game is like? Here’s a synopsis and trailer for you:

“Blending deep board game strategy with competitive auto-battling, Vanguard Exiles places players in the role of Generals commanding their unique Squads across a constantly shifting battlefield. Set in a war-torn dieselpunk world where magic and machinery collide, the game combines accessible mechanics with remarkable strategic depth, creating an experience that would be impossible to recreate in a traditional tabletop format. Digital systems enable endless strategic possibilities, evolving battlefields, and emergent interactions.”

A key part of the Version 1.0 release is that the game will finally release its campaign mode, adding even more depth to the title. Plus, it’ll give you more to do when you’re not trying to put your perfect combo together against other players online. That being said, the game’s development won’t end there. In a press release, the team promised that more will come once the game launches, which gives you all the more reason to play the Early Access game now, or wishlist the full title, so you can see all that’s coming once February dawns.
