Curveball Games and Cloth Cat Games, as part of the Convergence Games Showcase, revealed a new multiplayer level for this gardening combat game Planted!. The game is set to come out later this year on PC and consoles.

In this game, up to four players must compete in brutal flora-based combat. Key features include:

• Something for Everyone – Play with up to four friends in co-op chaos, or take to the gardens of Planted! solo in the cutthroat world of horticultural combat.
• Grow into the Role – Learn the ropes, discover your favourite tactics and be ready to adapt to become an unstoppable growing machine!
• Embrace the Chaos – Dodge spud turrets, detonate weed bombs, produce produce, and rack up the most points however possible to become champion.
• Sow, Grow and Throw – Play across 8 diverse environments, each with unique twists, turns and challenges.
• Play your Way – Choose from a cast of unlikely characters with their own individual personality and style.

But the new multiplayer level has a theme you might not expect. Now, the players must take care to navigate the bubbling lakes of an active volcano:

“The level will see players jump between circling platforms as they attempt to grow (and throw) their produce to rack up points, all while keeping an eye on the ever hungry Volcano God, who will randomly demand request a specific vegetable to keep them appeased. Failure to comply will result in an explosive outburst, with fireballs not only knocking players on their grass, but destroying what little allotment real estate remains.”
