We’ve been talking about a lot of updates lately, and that’s because so many indie titles are attempting to expand themselves to new heights by broadening the content they offer. For example, the team at Lesser Weevil has revealed that Dung Ho: Pirates of the Veld will drop next week on Steam. The casual co-op adventure title was already pretty wacky, but this will add to the fun in new ways. If you’re unfamiliar with the main title, here’s a quick synopsis for you:
“Dung Ho! combines cooperative play with approachable, skill-agnostic mechanics, challenging players to protect, repair, and guide their ball past environmental hazards and the unpredictable decisions of their teammates. Built for 30-60 minute sessions and friends-only multiplayer, the game transforms a seemingly simple mission into chaotic moments of teamwork, tension, and humor.”
Here is what the new content update will bring to the table:
- Pirate Invasion. Pirates have arrived as brand-new enemies, bringing fresh chaos, danger, and explosive new encounters to your runs.
- Introducing Bobbin’s Nightmare. A brutal new endurance mode inspired by “Only Up!” style progression. Climb as high as you can in a relentless vertical challenge where one wrong move can cost everything.
- Safari Expansion. Brand-new campaigns like Tour of Africa and other fresh challenge routes designed to test your dung rolling skills in all new ways.
- Cosmetics and achievements. Style and completion matter; customise and collect to your heart’s content.
- New items and quality of life improvements. Updates to the items available and game improvements to take on all new challenges.
If you’re ready to roll around to have some dung-style fun, then get the main game now and be ready for the pirate-themed content update on July 28th.
