Who doesn’t love to jam out to music? Now, don’t you wish you could get the musical beats in your head and put them into the real world to see what you can truly create? Pantaloon and Whetstone Games are here to provide you with that very opportunity via OFFBEAT, their music/rhythm sim that is now out on Steam. More specifically, it’s now out on Steam Early Access, which means you can help steer the game in the right direction by providing feedback to the team. Here’s a breakdown of the game for you:
“OFFBEAT is a music-tycoon game meets real audio production tool. Become a jobbing composer — except all your equipment and instruments are a strange array of objects varying from singing garden gnomes to paper shredders. Complete jobs for a whole host of eclectic characters and grow your recording studio!
The Early Access launch of OFFBEAT features 7 different musical objects spread across two different chapters and 22 unique jobs. In addition, players have access to an upgrade system that allows them to upgrade each of their instruments as the story progresses. Newcomers to music production will appreciate the notebook system that has a whole host of general advice around composing music.”
All music that you make in the Early Access version will carry over to the main game once it’s out, so there’s no risk of you losing your creations! Plus, if you’d like a free version to test out, there’s a demo you can get, too!
OFFBEAT is set for a full launch next year.
