The teams from Crytivo and Winter Cats Studios decided to do just that with their upcoming city builder game Thveit, which is set in a world of Norse mythology. That means you’ll have plenty of mythological things to deal with, as this trailer and synopsis showcases:

“Begin with a handful of settlers and a single forest clearing. Raise homes, cultivate fields, fish, tend livestock, build workshops, and grow a community where humans and mythical beings learn to live side by side. It is a warm storybook world, although winter and the local spirits may have opinions about your building plans.

Spring supports growth. Summer favors building and voyages. Autumn is the time to store food, clothes, fuel, and offerings. Then winter arrives to inspect everything you forgot. Keep your people fed, warm, and safe while the systems you built are tested by snow, long nights, and the hardships of the wild.”
