Birds of War Launched July 22!

Bird Game 3” was an exciting multiplayer game that took the internet by storm, and entirely fake. Unfortunately, the whole idea was a collective internet joke. All gameplay footage and reactions that had everyone in a frenzy were AI generated.

But not anymore! That nonexistent game was brought into reality without the use of AI (talk about killing two birds with one stone)! HexNest Games has announced that Birds of War, the class-based aerial PVP game hatched from that meme, is now officially available on Steam!

A little birdie (their press release) describes the game’s premise:

Birds of War is a class-based aerial PvP game where nine bird classes battle across multiple modes, including Egg Conquest, Team Deathmatch, Free for All and Infected. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game combines melee-first, physics-driven combat with proximity voice chat for a genuinely chaotic multiplayer experience, and everything purchasable in-game is cosmetic only.”

And as Founder of HexNest Games, Seaton Rogers (known as rapper YNG Martyr to most Australians), succinctly puts it:

“…It’s essentially COD but you’re a bird.”

Interested? Here are its golden egg key features:

  • 3v3v3 Aerial Combat: Class-based dogfighting across fast, chaotic matches
  • Nine Bird Classes: Crow, Hummingbird, Shoebill, Pigeon, Owl, Eagle and more, each with a distinct playstyle
  • Proximity Voice Chat: Hear the enemy before you see them, and they hear you
  • Ragdoll Physics: Melee-first combat where every hit and every elimination makes its own highlight reel
  • Pay to Flex, Not Pay to Win: Cosmetic-only monetisation, nothing purchasable affects gameplay
  • Built for Content: 9:16 in-game camera toggle and a Mute All Forever button, made for streamers and short-form creators

So what are you waiting for? Celebrate the takeoff of this internet joke turned real game! Join the flock and buy Birds of War on Steam today!
