Working the night shift at a gas station is probably one of the most surreal jobs one can have. Most nights are pretty normal, but every once in a while, you run into some, to put it politely, very interesting people. Thankfully, there’s no proof (yet) that strangers you ring up late at night are creatures pretending to be human, but in this game, that’s not always the case. Bun Muen and Kwalee‘s co-op horror game Shift at Midnight is now available on Steam, XBOX Series X|S, and XBOX Game Pass.
In this game, the player and two of their friends work at a gas station together with all the trappings of managerial work: stocking shelves, selling products, keeping the store clean, etc. But there’s something else you should keep in mind:
“Oh, and make sure to interrogate each customer as you serve – as some are not human and are in fact doppelgangers – miss one and they will return later that shift to try and kill you and your friends… Execute on site if you think they are not human – just be sure to clean up after.
If you let one of these creatures slip through the cracks, prepare yourself for a rough night. Key features include:
- Multiplayer
- Proximity chat
- Interrogate customers
- Randomly Generated Shifts
- Gas Station Management
- Character customization
Check out the whole launch trailer below. Shift at Midnight currently costs $9.99 USD.
