You ever notice that a lot of sci-fi stories are about you going to a planet and just killing everything in sight? We’re not saying that’s a “bad thing,” but it does apparently happen quite a bit! Now, Beatrate Studio is adding to that mix with an upcoming sci-fi roguelike called Weather the Swarm. In it, you’ll take on an alien planet full of threats and attempt to survive the procedurally generated levels you’re put on. Don’t worry, though, you don’t have to take it on alone. You can bring three of your friends to the mix via couch co-op to help kill everything together!

Like a true roguelike, you’ll have different runs every time you play. If you don’t have a good run one time? Don’t worry about it! Try something new and see if it sticks. Plus, every run will give you new weapons, abilities, aliens to fight, and perks to use to try and improve your odds. Plus, over time, some of those weapons and perks will be better than what you used before! Here’s a trailer for what you can expect when the title drops on Steam next year.
