Slain 2: The Beast Within Is Coming To XBOX and PlayStation

Have you been looking for your next dark fantasy adventure? Perhaps one with some “heavy metal” vibes to it? Oh, and did you want said game to also come out on console? If so, then have we got news for you! Silver Lining Interactive and Steel Mantis have announced that Slain 2: The Beast Within will arrive in physical form on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation alongside its Steam release. You can go to Silver Lining Direct to get your pre-orders in for the dark fantasy title.

“In Slain 2: The Beast Within, the battle rages on against the tyrannical, demonic forces of Lord Vroll. Players step into the heavy-metal-soaked boots of Prince Akran, the last of the legendary Wolf Knights. Armed with the iconic, sentient blade Bathoryn, Akran must navigate a dying world, searching for sacred relics to push back the creeping abyss. When steel isn’t enough, Akran must surrender to the curse in his veins, and under full moon transform into a feral werewolf to obliterate everything in his path.”

Just as important, for those who don’t mind playing the game on Steam, a demo has dropped that you can try out! If you’re eager to learn about the other features the game offers, here you go:

  • Ferocious Combat: Engage in a dance of steel, fire and ice to cleave through Vroll’s monstrous legions.
  • The Power of Bathoryn: The legendary sentient sword returns, granting Akran elemental masteries.
  • Embrace the Beast: Transform into a ferocious werewolf to shred enemies with a torrent of claws, teeth, and raw, unstoppable beastly power.
  • Three Perilous Quests: Journey through beautiful, but nightmarish hand-crafted landscapes. Sail ghostly, treacherous seas, storm haunted castles, and descend into the dark abyss to claim the sacred relics.
  • Legendary Boss Duels: Test your resolve against terrifying ancient spirits, vengeful witches, abyssal warlocks, and grotesque horrors.

Will you survive the journey ahead? Try out the game on Steam, or pre-order a physical copy so you’ll be ready to find out when the game launches later this year.
