Wizdom Academy Gets New Steam Early Access Update and Demo!

There are plenty of magic-themed games out there, and many want to try and “capture the magic” that brought many fans to certain franchises. Wizdom Academy by Kipwak Studio and Lake On Fire has been out since last year via Steam Early Access, and the team has been working hard to improve upon the game with each new update. Today, they droppe another update for fans to check out. Here are the details:

“Version 0.7.0 is the most comprehensive update Wizdom Academy has received since its Early Access launch. Nicknamed the Mana and Progression Update, it touches nearly every system in the game. On the content side: five new quests have been added to the early game, a fog of war system has been introduced on the world map, student ranks now display as titles (Novice, Apprentice, Acolyte), and Destinies are now only offered when a student graduated in the matching subject family, making every graduation feel meaningful.

On the systems side: mana management has been entirely rebalanced, with construction sites no longer draining mana while being built, Mana Windmills now depending on height and wind exposure, and a dedicated mana gauge now displaying net balance per cycle. The Directorium’s Emissary received a full visual and behavioural rework, and Trust now directly influences tax demands.”

If you’re unfamiliar with the game itself, here’s a synopsis:

“Wizdom Academy is a 3D builder management sim where you take on the role of Headmaster of your own wizarding school. Design every room, recruit students from across the world, send professors on expeditions, and keep your school running through mana droughts, staff drama and rival academies.

With over 100 unique student traits, more than 50 Destinies to unlock, and a comprehensive tech tree, every playthrough produces a different academy.”

That means you’ll have plenty of options as you make your way through each playthrough. Now, if you don’t want to get the Steam Early Access version right now, that’s fine. It is 20% off, though, until August 11th. Just saying. However, if you want the “free option,” there is a brand-new demo available for the game that you can get right now. So, hop on over to Steam and try that!
