For big multiplayer titles, playtests are essential not only to test if the online components work and don’t cause things like lag, but they also allow developers to see how gamers will take on the titles and what gameplay elements need refinement. Yes, devs have Q&A departments, but they often are focused on specific things, versus gamers trying anything and everything to get things done. For NC, they’re getting ready to launch their upcoming pre-alpha playtest for the shooter Cinder City. The good news for you is that you can sign up for it right now! If you are able to get into the test, here are the times you can play it:
- Friday, August 14, from 5-9 pm PT
- Saturday, Aug 15, from 5-11 pm PT
- Sunday, August 16, from 5-11 pm PT
“CINDER CITY delivers a cinematic shooter experience through immersive visuals, a massive open world, and large-scale multiplayer PvE gameplay that encourages players to cooperate as they take on challenges throughout the city.”
There’s clearly a lot going on with the game, so if you want to be a part of it, and want to help it get to the next level of its development, check out the pre-alpha playtest and see where things stand!
