While “the dream” for many developers is to work for a famous studio on legendary titles, or make something new through them, another dream is simply to get together with like-minded kin and make something that those same developers would never do. The team at GPTTrack50 did just that, assembling a crew who worked on plenty of action games and then making a title that’ll drop this October: Stupid Never Dies. That’s arguably the most accurate video game title ever, but we digress. Anyway, the title will drop on Steam and PlayStation on October 21st, and you can learn more about the game below:

“Davy, a timid zombie, falls in love at first sight with Julia, a college girl frozen to death during the Great War. To bring her back to life, he must defeat KOM, recover humanity’s lost knowledge, and survive the dungeon’s deadly depths. Can the weakest zombie save the girl he loves—and maybe the world?”

Yep! It’s that kind of story! But hey, it works in context right? “Stupid Never Dies,” you know? Anyway, the team also announced that there will be a special “Glorious Idiot Edition” of the game where you can get the DLC already pre-purchased, with the first set of DLC content being special items that Davy can use to try and save the day and get the girl, and not in that order:

• DLC Original TickTock Teddy #1: Big Head: Includes: Big Head Effect + New Combat Music Track Remix. Who said an underdog can’t have an ego? Use this effect to give Davy an oversized bobblehead, while triggering an exclusive composition version of the combat music.
• DLC Original TickTock Teddy #2: Chirp Chirp: Includes Footstep Sound Effect + New Home Music Track Remix. Put an extra spring in Davy’s step with a cheerfully unique footstep sound effect while Davy is in Zombie Style, while listening to a fresh new background track as you prep for battle.
• DLC Original TickTock Teddy #3: Festival: Includes Hit Sound Effect (during Davy Burst) + Davy Burst Background Music Track Remix. Make an impact as Davy decimates monsters on your way to KOM with new hit sound effects and a new remix of the background music during Davy Burst.
• DLC Original TickTock Teddy #4: Romantic: Includes New Effects for Davy Burst + Main Theme Replaces Davy Burst Background Music. Add a little extra style to Davy Burst as the graffiti-style effects are replaced with an exciting new special gimmick, adding the game’s theme song in place of the original Davy Burst background music.
• DLC Original TickTock Teddy #5: Splash: Includes Level-Up Effects + “Hurry Up” Music Track Remix. Davy gains new level-up effects to make sure monsters know that his power has grown, as a new remix of the “Hurry Up”
  background music plays.
