There’s two ways to follow up a highly successful and critically acclaimed game: a sequel or DLC. And while some people may prefer the robustness of a full-on follow-up, additional content seems to be a more popular and sustainable option. Lost & Found, a standalone DLC for Lowbirth Games‘s adventure mystery game This Bed We Made, will be released on August 5 for PC via Steam.

“Set a few years after the events of the original game, the story follows Sophie Roy in 1964 as she begins a new job as a stewardess aboard a transatlantic ship.

When passengers’ personal belongings begin mysteriously disappearing, Sophie is drawn back into her snooping ways, leading her into a new investigation filled with secrets and unexpected discoveries.”

In terms of gameplay, the team is determined to bring back and improve on the things that made the base game great:

“Designed as a focused 1–2 hour narrative experience, Lost & Found builds on the elements players loved most about the studio’s first game: snooping through private spaces, uncovering secrets, cleaning up messes, and piecing together the truth through everyday tasks.”

Though the DLC is designed for both returning players and newcomers, fans with base game save files are in for a bonus:

“Alongside refined gameplay, a new setting, and a brand-new cast of characters, players will discover an entirely new story. Returning players can also carry forward their choices from This Bed We Made, with some past decisions subtly reflected in the experience.”

To celebrate the launch, a 15% discount on Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story will be available for the first week. This Bed We Made will also receive a 50% discount on Steam.
