Yogscast Games and Table 9 Studio have announced that the new Set 2: World Tour DLC for their tabletop roguelike autobattler Tales & Tactics will release on August 6. The DLC will be available on Steam and Epic.

Launching on the same day as Yogscast Games’ annual Tiny Teams Steam festival, the DLC brings brand new content including:

• “Set 2: World Tour – An all-new roster featuring unique skills, multi-trait units and mechanics like trait-based resource generation, permanent selling bonuses and direct carry counters. Playable across Classic Campaign, PVP and the brand new Knockout Mode.
• Knockout Mode – A fast-paced, pure-combat mode that only cycles between a shop phase and battle phase, with no story or events in between. Play against enemy champions who will grow their army just like you do and after 3 sets, it’ll be down to just you and one opponent in an epic final 1v1 to take home the gold!
• Seven New Table Cosmetic Appearances – Alternate variants of the current tables, featuring atmospheric fog, custom lighting and weather effects. All-new visuals to match our all-new cast!

An update for the base game will release alongside the DLC, with major features including:

• PVP Rework – More varied Seasons, less separation in opponent pools, permanent progress without season wipes and a suite of new and reworked PVP Perks.
• Uber Items – Merge identical merged items to double their core stats and unlock enhanced or additional effects. This raises the ceiling of how powerful a single unit can get, completely changing the dynamic of how late game armies are built.

The Tales & Tactics Set 2: World Tour DLC will launch with a 10% discount, alongside a 70% discount for the base game. The new Deluxe Edition – which includes the base game, DLC, and soundtrack – will launch with a 40% discount. Watch the whole launch trailer below.
