Video games can truly be whatever you want them to be. So, when Blue Ramen Studios and Blue Ridge Games decided to make a title about a postman and a living camera, they did just that! MAFATE is the name of this game, and it’s exactly as wacky as it sounds, while also being a cozy nature title for you to enjoy. As part of the Wholesome Games Celebration, a demo for the title is now out on Steam. There’s plenty going on with this game, which you can see below:

“In MAFATE, players step into the hiking boots of the mail carrier of legend as he starts his journey to help keep the isolated villages of the region connected through mail. Along the way, he is joined by Luna, a young Creole girl mysteriously transformed into a magical camera after being sent back in time. Together, they’ll uncover local myths, meet unforgettable characters, and discover that even the smallest moments can leave the biggest impact.

Inspired by the real-life Cirque de Mafate on Réunion Island and the history of the local mail carriers who had to overcome many challenges to deliver mail in the inhospitable parts of the island. Where roads cease to exist and mountainous terrain is common, MAFATE invites players on a cozy adventure where every trail leads to a new discovery, each letter delivered forges a connection between the locals, and every photograph becomes a treasured memory.”
