QUIET Gets Playtest Update Following Community Feedback

•

The last time we talked about QUIET, it was just about to get into its first public playtest on Steam. That took place a few days ago, and according to the team, over 30,000 gamers came forward to try the horror co-op game out, and it went so well that it broke the servers! Go figure. Through their feedback, the team has improved things so that the playtest can be even better than before! Here is an update to things, alongside the playtest trailer that you can enjoy:

“You better keep your beak shut — demon granny is always listening! LINE Games just released a playtest update for QUIET, their upcoming horror co-op where you play as a flock of stranded alien ducks. QUIET has garnered over 30,000 requests for playtest access in the last three days, and the dev team has been working on a content update to address initial player feedback, including difficulty adjustments and gameplay improvements.”

Here’s a more complete breakdown of the update that the playtest has gotten:

  • Changes to Detection in Hiding Spots – You will no longer be detected when hiding out of Grandma’s sight. However, if she sees you enter a hiding spot, you’re cooked.
  • Microphone Sensitivity & Settings – Microphone input now fills Grandma’s noise gauge more slowly, added the ability to select your preferred audio input device
  • Bug Fixes – Fixed the “Voice Chat Volume” setting not adjusting other players’ volume, and fixed network latency displaying incorrectly in the waiting lobby
  • Difficulty & Balance Adjustments – In Normal Difficulty, Grandma advances to the next phase more quickly, and each phase lasts longer.
  • In Hard Difficulty, Grandma’s base attack and speed have been slightly
    increased.
  • Also, phases now decrease gradually, step-by-step.

So, if you’re up for a challenge, check out the playtest, head on over to Steam. Then, if you enjoy it, leave some feedback and wishlist the game!
