The focus of video games can be whatever you want them to be, including having original characters take center stage, or, bringing in classic figures to take on new settings and challenges. On Kickstarter, SUPER AC will soon launch a campaign to fund their RPG Covenant of Gears: The 3 Musketeers. You can sign up for its pre-launch page right now. Or, if you have faith it’ll launch and get funded without issue, you can wishlist it on Steam. But what is the game about? Here’s a breakdown for you:

“France is at war.

In this reimagining of Alexandre Dumas’ universe, D’Artagnan, Athos, Porthos and Aramis take up arms once again in a
kingdom transformed by the emergence of mechanical technologies capable of disrupting the balance of power across Europe.

Exploration, quests, encounters, resource gathering, equipment crafting and the development of powerful mechanical abilities will shape the adventure.”

Oh, but it doesn’t end there, though. Instead, there will be a “Campaign Editor” available to all members of the community. What does that mean? It means you’ll be able to take the in-game maps and rework them to create your own levels and challenges! Then, you’ll get to share them with other players so that they can test out your maps, and you can test out theirs!
