You know that something is going right when an indie game announces it’s heading to certain consoles before they’ve even debuted on other platforms. In the case of the narrative adventure title Hubert, the team at Brocap Studio has revealed that alongside a Steam release, the game will launch on PS5, too. Just as important, a Steam demo for the game is out right now for you to play. But, what is this dog-driven game about? Here’s a breakdown and trailer to give you…paws…

“Meet Hubert, a fluffy, overconfident shepherd dog with a nose for trouble. He sees the world through movement, scent, instinct, and curiosity. You experience everything through his eyes. By his side is Lily, a sharp-witted kid who just convinced the grumpiest farmer in the valley to give them both a job. Their mission is to herd dozens of mildly chaotic sheep across the pastures. Easy, right?

Not when the sheep have the attention span of a goldfish, and the farmer has zero patience. Beyond the farm, in the uncharted northern wilderness, the land grows quieter and stranger. Something is out there. Not just a threat, but a call that Hubert understands in ways he cannot fully explain.

Clearly, life is “ruff” for this dog, but that’ll make his adventure all the more fun when you finally get to play it!

When will that be? As of yet, there isn’t a release date. But, you can still check out the demo and wishlist the title, should you enjoy it.
