DLC can help bring games more “flavor,” while also giving gamers a reason to come back to titles they’ve potentially already finished. Gaddy Games released Plan B: Terraform last year, giving players a new “colony sim” to have fun with as they attempt to mold worlds to their liking. Today, the team revealed that its next content expansion will be via the “Worlds of Fire and Water” DLC that’ll drop on September 23rd. Oh, and for those who possibly can’t get the DLC just yet, there will also be a free content update, too! For more details, check out the breakdown and trailer below:

“The Worlds of Fire and Water DLC introduces two new planets with very different natural climates. The Fire World is plagued by very high temperatures, no minerals, and constant eruptions. You’ll need to utilize new tools to cool down the planet and terraform it! On the other hand, the Water World is almost entirely encompassed by water, with only small islands to build on. As you cool down the planet, growing ice caps and reducing the water level, you’ll discover new lands. Both worlds have their own quirks, how will you make these polar opposite lands livable?”

Good question! And one you’ll have to think about as you try to terraform these worlds with the resources you have…and don’t have. Now, for those who want an insight into the content update that’s coming alongside the DLC, here are the key features for that:

• A new Tech Tree, replacing the old level system
• Upgrades: one-time upgrades for the container capacity of trucks, trains, anddrones, or to make your depots float on water, plus repeatable upgrades to increase vehicle and drone speed as well as extraction efficiency
• New vehicles: early-game small ships and late-game airships
• Dynamic polar ice caps and snow
• Sea plants and plankton that follow water currents
• Water farms to produce additional food
• Rockets to launch shades and mirror satellites, and bring back ice comets
• Greenhouse gas neutralization plants
• Long-range drone extractors
• Seabed extractors
