QUIET Hits Impressive Playtesting Milestone

We’ve covered QUIET a few times on this site, mainly because it had a public playtest recently that keeps racking up players. In fact, it’s done so well that a new press release was dropped by the team at LINE Games Corporation, noting that in just 10 days, the game has crossed 150K playtesters! That’s quite impressive, and it shows that many people are interested in playing alien ducks trying to survive a very scary house. For more from the team about the success of the playtest and what’s coming next, check out the message below:

“The team at LINE Games is incredibly grateful for the support, and is continuously implementing player feedback.

Alongside the playtest milestone, the QUIET development team also shared a new Developer Letter, answering questions from the community and sharing more insight into the game’s mechanics. One question tackles the gauge bar at the top of the screen, which tracks the amount of noise players make inside the mansion.

Voice input through your microphone, footsteps from walking or running, and even the ducks’ “Quack!” sounds can all cause the gauge to rise. Check out the full Developer Letter for more answers and insights from the team.”

It’s good for them to note just how much they’re doing to improve things based on player feedback, as that’s always a good way to keep gamers coming back, and to spread good word of mouth about the horror co-op title. If you want to learn even more about the game, check out this set of features:

  • Search for Ship Parts: Explore the house, recover the components needed to repair your ship, and escape before you’re discovered.
  • Every Sound Matters: Movement, dropped objects, and even your real- world voice can alert the homeowner. A microphone is required.
  • Work Together or Go Down Together: Coordinate with up to three other players, but remember that one noisy mistake can put the entire flock in danger.
  • A Horror Co-op Unlike Any Other: Balance stealth, teamwork, and chaotic duck antics as you struggle to survive against an ever-listening threat.

The playtest is still active on Steam, if you want to join with your friends!
