The New Update

Texel Raptor‘s town-building sim Croakwood has released a new development update. The new log reports efforts towards optimization, particularly a new rendering model that hopes to improve game speed. In addition, the team has continued to move towards releasing a long-anticipated Mac OS port. The full dev log can be found here.

What Is Croakwood?

Set in a lush, woody hideaway, Croakwood is a town-building sim that allows players to design homes, create structures and develop a town for cute and tiny frog citizens.

• Create the perfect froggy home – Allow your creativity to hop around freely with their piece-based building system.
• Be a Watchful Eye- Observe the day-to-day lives of the unique froggy citizens who call your town home.
• Establish and manage the economy- Take responsibility for the well being of your town as they create and expand.
• Uncover the Secrets of the Forest- Explore and discover an abundance of creatures and secrets.
• Make and Meet Goals- Complete quest established for your citizens to grow your town.

There is currently no demo available for Croakwood. However, Early Access is planned for Winter 2026. Wishlist the game and follow on Steam to keep up with development updates. Croakwood will be available on Windows, Mac OS and Linux devices.
