Red Hook Studios has announced that The Fire’s Edge DLC for their hit fantasy RPG Darkest Dungeon is now available on PC, Mac, and LINUX through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $6.99 USD. It is also available on the PlayStation 4 and XBOX One, with backwards compatibly for the PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch edition will launch on August 20.

A deeper dive into this game and its fifth DLC can be found in our previous article. The Fire’s Edge DLC introduces two new heroes:

“The vagrant Runaway favours fire and stealth when pressed to fight: enemies, beware the one patterned in burns, draped in tatters, and wielding a crude poker. The Runaway’s fire-based ability, Burn, will feel familiar to players of Darkest Dungeon II. By contrast, the Duelist stands severe with an ornate capelet conspicuously pierced above the breast — not a challenger yet has held quarter against her bitter edge.”

Alongside these heroes are unique trinkets, additional Town Events, and three more Districts. New features include:

• “Flee, fight, or fire at will with two new playable characters: The Duelist and The Runaway. Harness the disciplined and deadly Duelist or the flame fueled violence of the Runaway.
• Ignite enemies with The Runaway new combat mechanic: Burn, reimagined for the original Darkest Dungeon.
• Fortify your Hamlet with the Academie Duello, Craftworks, and Archaeological Base Camp
• New Trinkets have been added that command unique mechanics such as Trigger Uses, Quest Charges, and Transforming Trinkets.
