Point-and-click adventures aren’t as numerous in the gaming space as they used to be, for valid reasons, but there are some who still showcase the wonders of the genre. Dionous Games and Lost Token are one such dev duo, as they’ve released their point-and-click title Theropods on Steam today. What makes this title so special isn’t just the old-school graphics or the gameplay style, but the fact that the game is completely wordless. “Theropods is a retro pixel art point-and-click adventure set in a prehistoric world with a sci-fi twist, told entirely without dialogue, subtitles, or text, built entirely around visual logic. There are no dialogue trees, no walls of
text, no subtitles. The world itself is the puzzle. Players watch how creatures behave, how characters react and how each scene shifts as they poke, prod and experiment their way through it.
