11 bit studios set to publish Harvester Games’ Trainwatch

Award winning publisher 11 bit studios (The Alters, Frostpunk) has announced it will publish Rem Michalski’s Trainwatch, a time-management simulator within the psychological horror genre.

Meet the Gatekeeper

Trainwatch follows Troy, the new gatekeeper at a desolate, foggy train tower. After a falling out with his wife, and a continued struggle with sobriety, Troy decides he’s in need for a new start if he ever wants to prevent his life from completely falling apart. The railway crossing Troy works at will prove to be challenging, haunting, and truth revealing. It’s a complex gameplay loop joined hand-in-hand with a mind bending story.

Key Features:

  • Work hard- Your work as a gatekeeper includes a plethora of tasks for you to complete each day. It’s important to do a good job if you can plan to make a great impression.
  • Explore the fog- The tower you work at isn’t the only thing worth exploring. Find weird neighbors, unlock doors and discover further secrets beyond the fog.
  • Keep it together- Bathe, eat, sleep, and repeat. Keep Troy from falling down a dark path, and call his wife Agatha every night to prevent him from losing himself.
  • Let things go- Everyday brings new challenges and obstacles. Sometimes, you’ll have to pick and choose what you can afford to expend yourself on.

When first announced in 2025, Trainwatch’s release was set for 2026. They have since updated the release year to 2027. Harvester Games, Michalski’s solo development studio, has previously published highly regarded works such as The Cat Lady (2012) and Lorelai (2019). Trainwatch makes the studio’s sixth game title.
