The age-old tale of Dante’s Divine Comedy has held the public imagination for hundreds of years. Rising once again from the past, the ancient monsters are given new life in The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline. Developed by Italian team ONE O ONE GAMES and published by Spanish Entalto Publishing, the project promises to be multicultural not only in its origins, but in the release of its final product.

Players from around the world can explore the world of Dante in 11 different languages, and hear it brought to life with voice acting in both Italian and English. The release promises to be diverse in platform as well, coming to PC (via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG), PS5, and XBOX Series X/S September 10, 2026. Firstcomers will also enjoy a 10% off discount within the first two weeks of release.

The story follows Dante Alighieri’s descendant, Gabriele, who must complete “The Ritual” as the ethereal barrier between our world and hell becomes dangerously thin. Now, you may have heard of games where the demons that crawl from the depths of hell must be beaten back with sheer brute force, but The Alighiri Circle promises to be no such game:

“…when I read the Divine Comedy, I didn’t see an action story; I saw a person going through an inner journey. That became our central idea: Hell is internal,” Creative Director Emanuele Miccianza tells us.

“We decided what kind of terror we wanted to portray: not the fear of dying, but the fear of being seen. Because sometimes the most terrifying thing is someone or something that understands you completely,” Game Director Gaia Righelli goes on to say.

This chilling psychological mystery thriller poses the following tasks to its players:

• The Quest for the Infernal Seal: Gather the lost, magical pages of the Divine Comedy and reunite them to perform the ritual that keeps the gates of Hell sealed.
• Esoteric Puzzle Solving: Decipher esoteric riddles and navigate a harrowing psychological journey that forces you to confront Gabriele’s deepest fears and trauma.
• Unearth a Fragmented Truth: Scour the environment to find hidden collectibles and diary pages. Piece together the tragic history of the Alighieri bloodline and the forgotten memories of Gabriele’s life to understand the true cost of the Ritual.
