Who doesn’t love the chance to play a video game before it comes out? That way, you can see if something “vibes with you” before spending your money to get it in full! For Renegade Games and WhisperGames, they have officially released a public demo for their roguelike auto battler title Castle Away, which will release in full on Steam later this year. A few playtests have happened before, but now everyone can get the demo and weigh in on how the game plays. Want to find out more? Check out the synopsis and demo trailer below:

“Castle Away is a quick-to-pick-up, run-based, strategic auto-battler focused on crafting combat synergies on a 3×3 castle grid, which will expand throughout your run. You slay monsters, scavenge for materials, craft structures, and upgrade your keep to ultimately defeat the Archdemon and purge the realm. All content has been lovingly hand-crafted and hand-drawn to create a charming experience that has you experiment with builds, run after run.”

As for what you’ll be able to do in the demo itself, that would include:

• 2 Regions: Explore the lush Cradle and the barren Steppes (and one more hidden surprise).
• 2 Factions: Experiment with two different castle bases, with unique structures and banners.
• 2 Difficulties: Were you able to beat the Archdemon on Survivor? Try to beat Explorer.
