The Red Cathedral Drops Time-Sensitive Demo

When people think of video games, they often think of truly elaborate 2D or 3D worlds that you go through for one reason or another. However, there are more simplistic games that are based on card or tabletop titles that are just as popular. The team at Devir Games are readying to release The Red Cathedral later this year. However, for the next 12 days, they’re doing something special. They’ve dropped a demo on Steam, and through it, you can play the full game, but only until the demo’s time is up. Here is the breakdown for you:

“Players compete to build different parts of the cathedral that they will previously claim, then search for and manage materials that will be used to build and decorate. They must take into account the influence of the clergy and the different guilds of the city to stand out from the rest and win the favor of the Tsar. Upon completion of the cathedral, the player who has gained the most prestige will be the winner.

Choose your favorite way to play, either solo or against other players. The Red Cathedral: Digital Edition offers cross-platform multiplayer, where you can invite friends – locally or online – or challenge random players. If you prefer to play alone: face the AI on various difficulty levels.”

Key features for the tabletop title include:

  • An original game from the minds of Shei & Isra!
  • Great strategic depth!
  • Adapted and expanded art from the board game!
  • Three levels of AI to play solo!
  • Includes a detailed, step-by-step tutorial!
  • Easy to learn, hard to master!
  • Nearly unlimited replayability!
  • Local and online multiplayer!
  • Cross-platform competition!
  • A board game with the convenience of a digital platform!

You have until September 6th to try the title out! Don’t miss this chance to have some strategy board game fun with friends.
