With Gamescom going on, all manner of announcements will drop over the next few days. That includes indie titles, like the one from Herobeat Studios that got a new trailer today: Wilderings: The Lost Spring. This is an action roguelite adventure that also has some creature collecting for you to do. You’ll go across a broken world and try to fix all that’s been done. A demo for the game is out now on Steam, too. Plus, it’ll arrive on Steam Early Access soon, further helping you be a part of the dev process. Want to learn more? Check out the breakdown and trailer below:
“Blending open-world exploration, fast-paced action, roguelite progression and creature collecting, Wilderings: The Lost Spring follows Abi and her companion Rif through a fractured world being consumed by darkness. Along the way, Abi discovers and adopts mysterious creatures known as Hântu, which become her weapons, abilities and traversal tools as she fights to restore life to the world around her.”
The trailer below also highlights a new area being revealed for the game:
“The Volcanic Region introduces three new Hântu for Abi to discover and recruit. Razzle fires explosive
projectiles that burn and multiply on impact, Mokul summons pyroclastic rain that scorches entire areas, and
Furioso hurls magma that spreads between nearby enemies. Together, they give players new ways to harness
the region’s destructive power in battle.”
While a definitive release window wasn’t given, the title is said to be arriving in Spring 2027, which would explain the Steam Early Access release that’s happening soon.
If you’re at Gamescom, there is a demo of the title available for play there, too!
