Will there ever be enough roguelike games to satisfy people? We’ll likely never find out, as the game world is FULL of roguelike titles to try out right now, and there are more on the way. Case in point, Venn Studios has dropped a new gameplay trailer for its dark fantasy take on rogulike titles, Rogue Reigns. Oh, but it’s not just a roguelike title, though, it also has deckbuilding for you to do! Fun times. There’s a lot to break down in this game, so check it out below, alongside the new trailer:
“At the core of Rogue Reigns is a party-based approach to deckbuilding. Players control three heroes simultaneously, with each character bringing their own deck, abilities and role to the battlefield. Managing the strengths and relationships between the three heroes is central to building an effective party and adapting to the challenges of each run.
Limited rewards and evolving encounters force players to make meaningful strategic decisions throughout their journey, while character synergies and multiple party compositions create opportunities for different builds and playstyles.”
The team isn’t afraid to put their game on as many systems as possible, either, as they’ve announced that the October 28th release date will see the game go to PC, Xbox Series XS, Playstation 5, Mobile (android/Ios) and Nintendo Switch 2. Oh, and as for some extra features for the game:
- Party-Based Deckbuilding – Control three heroes simultaneously, each with their own deck and role
- Deep Synergy System – Character interactions create layered, emergent strategies
- Meaningful Progression – Limited rewards encourage players to make strategic choices about how they develop their party
- Hand-Drawn Characters, Procedural Worlds – Expressive character art meets generated 3D environments that react to combat

- 10+ Party Compositions at Launch – High replayability with diverse builds and playstyles
- Proprietary Wildcard Engine – Built from the ground up for systemic gameplay and visual fidelity
- Striking 3D Visual Style – A rare aesthetic in the genre, blending stylization with depth
