Another release date has been revealed for an intriguing looking game! Developer Finji announced during last week’s gamescom, that their latest game, Usual June, will launch on Steam October 28th, 2026! And to commemorate the occasion, its newest trailer aired at the Awesome Indies Showcase powered by IGN @ gamescom.

The synopsis of the Usual June gives a glimpse at her very unusual summer to come:

“It was supposed to be a quiet summer break: working odd jobs, hanging out with her new friends, and talking to ghosts. Instead, June is investigating Fen Harbor’s darkest secrets, fighting spectral creatures, and canceling a space-time cataclysm before existence itself breaks down and everything goes quiet forever. Follow June and her new besties (alive and dead) as they investigate the town’s century-spanning secret history, explore a shattered multi-dimensional continuum, chill at the cemetery, defend themselves against massive monsters from beyond the pale, and deflect their parents’ questions about what they’re doing after they graduate.”

Along with the trailer showcasing absolutely stunning animation, beautiful color palettes, and a very interesting premise, a new press release reveals the Key Features that will make up the third-person action-adventure game’s experience.

• Explore unique locations such as secret labs, buried tunnels, haunted observatories, abandoned train stations, and a beautiful but mysterious other world.
• Dive into arenas with fast, fluid, and expressive combat. While being able to dash, use super moves, dodge and parry, players will have to adapt to enemies and change June’s fighting style by equipping items and customizing loadout. As players get more XP and level up, they will gain access to new powers. But these powers come with a cost they will have to discover by themselves. 
• Talk to a colourful cast of 25 characters to get to the bottom of what is happening in Fen Harbor, using the photographic memories of the dead, and the living’s ability to touch things to find out what is happening before all the ghosts disappear and time runs out.
