Social Deduction Game Dupery: A Game Of Solo Deduction Coming This October

•

Mysteries come in all shapes and sizes, and there are plenty of video game developers who like putting twists on the mystery genre to see what kind of clever tricks they can try on players. For example, the team at Gilded Rune Games and Gamersky Games are going to drop a “social deduction” noir title called Dupery: A Game of Solo Deduction this October. It’ll be an atypical mystery game because of the kinds of cases you’re attempting to solve. You can learn more about it below:

“Taking the high-stakes tension and satisfying “gotcha!” moments of social deduction games and translating them into a single-player roguelite, Dupery lets you loose in a noir city as a lone wolf detective. Up against a shadowy criminal syndicate, players must piece together grid-based procedural cases where every suspect has something to say – but hardly anyone is telling the whole truth.

In Dupery, detectives cross-reference statements, identify fatal contradictions and use an in-game investigation toolkit complete with strings, pins and notes to map out the criminal syndicate. With over 200 handcrafted roles spanning Innocents, Meddlers, Underlings and Traitors, no two cases play out the same way.”

What other features will help flesh out the mysteries ahead? Check them out below:

  • Solo deduction roguelite with 200+ handcrafted roles
  • A reputation meter for you to protect as you make your arrests
  • 3 regions with their own unique mechanics and roles
  • Procedurally generated cases so no two runs play the same
  • Different roles, quirks and modifiers to choose from between missions
  • Notation toolkit to build your own in-game crime board

The game releases on October 15th! Wishlist it today!
