It’s always good news when you hear that an indie title is leaving Steam Early Access. That means the game has gone through its paces, improved what it needed to, and is now ready for proper consumption by players. Novice Flow and Rising Tide had their action roguelike title Sous Raccoon in Early Access for a bit, but now the teams have revealed that on October 1st, Version 1.0 will launch! Not only will the game be out in full, but it’ll have new features for fans to enjoy, including 4-person co-op functionality! You can learn more about the game and see the origin of the title’s main character below:
“It’s a roguelite cooking game where you play Elmo, a raccoon sous chef who has to prep, cook, serve, and fight off the monsters that keep wandering into service. Let a guest get killed or lose patience and Chef (eventually) fires you. Clearing the
bodies before the other guests notice is also your job, because hygiene matters!”
Plus, since the game is leaving Early Access, that means certain restrictions will be lifted once Version 1.0 drops:
- All four worlds are live. Each stage has tons of maps, unique layouts and challenges. It’s a ton of content packed
- into a furry little package.
- The whole game is co-op. Chaotic, not quite balanced yet (but will be by October 1st), and hilariously cute.
- What’s left is balance and polish. It’s basically cooked.
So, you can either enjoy the game now, or, you can wait until October 1st and play it then! The choice is yours!
