Sci-Fi Bullet Hell Sublight Releases Content Roadmap Ahead of Launch

How much content a game has is determined by both the game itself and the dev team that is behind it. As such, many developers will release a “roadmap” to let gamers know what happens once a game goes live, so they can be aware of all post-launch content and updates that are in store. For the action roguelike title Sublight, it’ll drop onto Steam on September 15th, and with it being a week away from launch, Codebrew Software has revealed its roadmap. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 2026 Q4: New enemy faction, new ships and weapons, more builds, and balance changes.
  • 2027 Q1: More unique boss drop weapons, enemy flagship hunts, and new mission types.
  • 2027 Q2: A Refreshed Campaign built around an XCOM-style threat map with longer, connected narrative missions, alongside expanded enemy factions and more research options.
  • 2027 Q3: Community-voted content, players choosing new ships, weapons, and builds via Discord polls, plus mod support and achievements.

That’s a good amount of content to look forward to. However, if you’re looking for that little something extra to know before you play the game itself, here’s the breakdown:

Command a stellar battleship and fight through multiple deadlysectors filled with relentless foes. Equip turrets, stack upgrades, and face everything from rogue rebel fleets to ravenous alien swarms.

Blast enemies to salvage materials and level up your ship. Choose from a vast pool of turrets, shredding autocannons, piercing railguns, and more. Combine them with dozens of passive upgrades to fine-tune every detail of your build.

Unlock a variety of unique ships, each with multiple alternative loadouts. Every hull comes with integrated weapon systems and abilities that transform your playstyle.

If you’re up for playing it, the Early Access build is still available to have fun in.
