As we’ve covered in the past, whenever an indie game gets to go multiplatform, it’s a big deal. The only question is about how many platforms they get spread out on, and how long it’ll take to get there. For Redlock Studio, they dropped their surreal atmospheric title BLACKSHARD on Steam last year and garnered a bit of buzz for it. Now, they’re ready to drop the exploration game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It’ll arrive on the consoles on September 22nd, and you can find out more about it below:
“Part of Redlock Studio’s Maze Chronicles universe, like their latest launch HYPNOS, BLACKSHARD is a first-person adventure exploration game set in an unsettling megastructure known as the Labyrinth. Roam liminal spaces and unravel the mystery behind them, but know that your own actions (or inactions) in the Labyrinth will determine the outcome of your journey.
The soundtrack for the game is the creation of ALT236, a French multimedia artist and composer, in a blend of ambient, retro and dreamlike electronic music.”
Some of the game’s key features include:
- Explore a unique semi-open world and find your own way through the Labyrinth.
- Find shards of memory from those who came before. Accept the order of things… or choose a different path.
- Transform the Labyrinth with unspeakable powers, or preserve its cold complexity.
