As the saying goes, “It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it!” The teams at Mythwright and Wildflame Studio decided to take this notion to an extreme level. Cleaner Company is your standard multiplayer co-op experience where you have to work together to get things done. The twist is that the “cleaning” you’re doing is from places where the people who once lived there…died gory deaths. Yeah, appealing. Oh, and you might get picked off by the beings that killed those people. Fun times! Anyway, the game’s first demo is out right now on Steam, giving you a true glimpse at the “cleaning madness” to come. Want to learn more? Check out the game’s breakdown and demo trailer below:

“Join the Star Wipers crew and blast off for a cosmic cleanup at The Flying Canteen, an intergalactic restaurant once known for its stellar views and cheap food, now home to meddling monsters and a chaotic cluster of unsightly stains.

Tackle the cleanup in single-player or embrace the mayhem together in 2-4 player co-op, using an array of interstellar
equipment to wash away the gore. Tidy up a disaster site, befriend a flock of affectionate (albeit a little mutated) chickens, and survive an alien menace still feasting on the chaos.”

…we’re not sure how to handle the idea of befriending space chickens. Granted, they’re hardly the “biggest problem” in the place, but still… If you want some more insight into the title, here are the game’s key features:

Become A Star Wiper – Join the Star Wipers and set off on an intergalactic expedition to clean up the galaxy’s worst disaster sites, using cosmic vacuums, trash grinders, powerwashers and other retrotech to wash away the mess.

Survive Dangerous Threats (Or Toggle Off For Sci-Fi Serenity) – Remove gore, stains, and spores, and defend yourself against monstrous creatures in the fight to survive your next big clean. Alternatively, toggle the monsters off to enjoy a calmer day at work.

Give Deep Space A Deep Clean – Climb the ranks of the galaxy’s first orbital infrastructure maintenance company, completing challenges to unlock new gear and locations. Use your earnings to upgrade equipment, health, damage and speed.

1-4 Player Chaos – Choose between calm cooperation and absolute mayhem. Profit from either! Complete contracts on spacecrafts, moon bases, orbital restaurants, alien research facilities and beyond as you splash through blood, navigate gravity shifts, and get eviscerated by the occasional meteor.

The title will release on Steam and the Epic Games Store in full later this year.
