Developer Mother Gaia Studio and publisher Critical Leap have announced that their time-loop murder mystery game, The Posthumous Investigation, is coming to Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on September 17th, 2026!

Here’s the evidence that’s been gathered about the game:

“Play as a private investigator hired by a rather unusual client: an influential entrepreneur who’s already dead. The task? You have a single day to solve the mystery of his murder. The story unfolds in a noir version of 1937 Rio de Janeiro, where each suspect has their own routine, secrets and motives. Players observe characters, question their actions and use each loop to learn more about the case. When the day resets, take your knowledge with you through the time loop to stay one step ahead of the killer. In The Posthumous Investigation, death is the client, and time is your only weapon.”
