Resonance Interactive announced that its real-time tactical adventure BloomKeeper is now available on Steam for $19.99 USD with a 20% launch discount.
In this game, the player becomes the Guardian who must lead a colony of small creatures called Pouic and restore the devastated, corrupted world of Hedera. Players must be attentive; the Pouics are powerful in their restorative powers, but rely on you to navigate the world and keep the group together:
“Natural hazards, cliffs, lakes, environmental obstacles, and forces capable of scattering the colony all influence how players navigate Hedera. Reading the terrain and reacting at the right moment can mean the difference between keeping the group together and watching a carefully planned route unravel. The environment itself can also become part of the solution. Choosing the right path and making smart use of the terrain can help contain the spread of corruption and preserve areas that have already been restored.”
If one were to meet a grisly end, there are devastating consequences:
“Pouics claimed by corruption can become Malpouics, hostile creatures that accelerate the spread of scorched zones and make an already difficult situation increasingly dangerous. A mistake can therefore change the state of the level, forcing players to adapt their approach as the threat grows.
Protecting the colony, preserving restored territory, and containing corruption are all interconnected parts of BloomKeeper’s tactical challenge.”
Other key features include:
- Real-time tactical adventure combining exploration, colony guidance, and environmental restoration
- Guide and protect the fragile Pouics across the island of Hedera
- Dynamic corruption that spreads and intensifies as players progress
- Use terrain and environmental features to protect restored areas
- Lost Pouics can become Malpouics, making corruption even harder to contain
- Play solo or in online co-op for up to four players
- Changing conditions and player decisions reshape the priorities of each run
- Watch scorched landscapes transform as nature gradually returns to Hedera
