Believe it or not, there used to be a point in gaming history when some of the biggest pieces of news came from MMORPGs and the expansions that they had. When this genre ran supreme, it was big news that more content was coming, and massive launch events would happen for them. While we have long since departed those times, Jagex is doing its best to keep RuneScape ever-relevant, and that includes by finally dropping the Havenhythe Part II content, which gives one of the biggest in-game land expansions the MMORPG has ever seen. “A haven for players who are questers, fighters, or skillers alike, today’s release combines RuneScape’s sense of epic world building with new activities to further enhance multiple skills, even after the climax of the current Havenhythe storyline.

‘Scapers looking to explore everything Havenhythe part II has to offer will need to meet a number of skill requirements. In addition to completing the Secrets of Amberfell quest to unlock the finale, Member players will also have to reach 51 Crafting, 55 Herblore, 65 Mining, and 60 Smithing. Those looking to dig deep and undertake the new mining activity will have to reach 65 Mining and 51 Crafting.

An ultra-rare, best-in-slot hatchet is the key reward in Havenhythe part II, together with Bogolin Pearls to gather and spend on local rewards and upgrades, Chima Moss Spools for stackable bowstring resources, and a Bogolin Knife and Torch, as well as new sources of standard rune essence.”

It’s clear that Jagex wants to keep players invested in its title, while also expanding upon what people new and old to the MMO can do. With that, gamers should expect more from the company as time goes on, as there might be even more expansions on the rune-filled horizon.
