Horror Puzzle Title The Main Menu Drops Demo

•

The interesting thing about horror games is that you can base the horrors the player faces on anything. Like, literally, you can frame it around any idea you come across, which is exactly what Cat Dev Games did with its psychological horror puzzle title The Main Menu. In it, you’ll be trapped in a place where a menu screen is your only way out, and you need to warp reality itself to get free. A demo for the title is available now on Steam, and we have details for the terrifying adventure to come below:

“The Main Menu is a psychological horror puzzle game where you wake up trapped in a room with a corrupted main menu to interact with. Changing the menu physically changes the room around you. Manipulate its buttons and hidden systems to solve puzzles and uncover what controls the screen.

As you begin to understand the relationship between the menu and room, a mysterious Entity watches and interferes with any progress introducing new obstacles and raising questions about what’s really controlling the game.”

The features help point out, pun intended, what you are capable of in the game:

  • A surreal horror game built around the main menu itself
  • Puzzle mechanics where 2D UI actions affect a 3D room
  • An escape room mystery with an entity interfering
  • Designed around the feeling of “wait… can I click that?”

So, if you’re ready to see how observant you are, and whether you can manipulate reality to your needs, get the game’s demo today!
