Listen to the Sounds of Hawk Peak With The Official A Short Hike Piano Collection LP!

•

Fans of adamgryu’s critically acclaimed indie game A Short Hike can now enjoy the songs of Hawk Peak Provincial Park in an all new light in the form of the official piano collection LP. Featuring two sides of music inspired by the original soundtrack immortalized in vinyl six years ago by Stumpy Frog Records, the same company returns to assist with the making of the piano collection, alongside the mastering skills of Ohad Nissim. The record breathes new life into the songs of Mark Sparling with the arrangement and performance of pianist Pablo Enver. Included with the purchase of the LP is an inner gatefold assembled by the original soundtrack’s art designer Saffron Aurora, detailing the inner thoughts of the game’s protagonist.

The tracklist is as follows:

Side A
Beach Buds
Somewhere in the Woods
See You At The Top
Boat Buds

Side B
Snow, Lots of Snow
Hello
A Short Flight
Nap Time
Unused Demo

For those unfamiliar, A Short Hike is an (albeit short, but you’ve probably guessed that by now) open-world adventure game with a heavy emphasis on exploration, originally released in July of 2019. Players hike in Hawk Peak Provincial Park as a bird named Claire on a quest to get up high enough to receive cell service. The game prides itself on providing a relaxed and heartwarming atmosphere.

Those looking to take the sounds of A Short Hike home with them can pre-order the LP now for £27.99 (roughly $31.89 in USD). Those who have never played the game but find themselves intrigued can download the game today for PC (via Steam, GOG, itch.io, and the Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or XBOX One and see all that Hawk Peak has to offer for themselves. Happy trails!
