Your Art Could Be in an Indie Game: Slumber Realm Fan Art Contest Now Accepting Submissions!

•

Wake up, we have exciting news! Upcoming dice roguelike Slumber Realm by developer Chugga Games is happy to announce their fan art contest. Inspired by the fan art submissions that once lined the pages of 1990’s video game magazines, four lucky artists will get the opportunity to see their art in the game.

Before you enter, here’s what you should know:

Contest dates: October 1 – October 31, 2026, 11:59 p.m. ET
How to enter: Post artwork with #SlumberRealmContest and email artcontest@chuggagames.com
Winners announced: November 3, 2026
Game launches: November 4, 2026

Chugga Games would also like to note that any art medium is accepted, so long as no generative AI is used. Winners will be decided upon in the following manner:

Chugga Games will select three Judges’ Selection winners based on creativity, originality, artistic execution, personality, and connection to the game, alongside one Audience Favorite from socials.

The four winning artists— in addition to having their art presented in a “dedicated fan-art section” of Slumber Realm— will receive free Steam keys to the game upon its release.

As for the game itself, Slumber Realm prides itself on being a wacky, 90’s-inspired roguelike where your fate is in the hand of a roll of the dice. Fight your childhood nightmares by night, and by day, decorate your own retro room with money from your allowance. Anyone looking to learn more about the game can consult our previous coverage from its release date announcement.

Let’s see those art skills! Submissions are open from now until October 31st. You can refer to the official video about the contest released by Chugga Games down below for more information. Interested in wishlisting or playing the game’s demo? Check out their Steam page and give it a try for yourself. Best of luck to all of our artsy readers out there!
