To say there are plenty of video game farming titles out there would be quite the understatement. The farming simulator genre is rather massive, with many twists and turns to make each title unique most of the time. Enter Titan Games, who are throwing their hats into the genre by making Outcity, which will arrive on Steam on December 10th. The game will let you work with others in your village to maintain your farm, and you can automate the entire process so you don’t have to worry about stressing over every detail. You can check out the synopsis for the game below, alongside its release date trailer:
“Players start with a stretch of overgrown countryside and a few tools. They then hand those tools to villagers, who take over the work, from planting and harvesting by day to fending off raids by night.
The tool a villager carries determines their job, so every hand-off shapes how the settlement runs. Villagers gain experience as they work. More than 140 upgrades across farming, fishing, construction, automation, and combat let players push the whole operation further, where each villager’s home matters too. They work best close to home, so placing a new house is also a decision about how the farm operates. The result is a homestead that keeps growing past what one farmer could manage alone.”
Here are some more of the game’s key features for you to check out, too:
- Build a farm from scratch on overgrown countryside
- Explore biomes with their own resources and unlock new regions
- Mine procedurally generated caves for rare finds
- Fish the lakes for rare catches
- Shape terrain, manage irrigation, and decorate every corner of the homestead
- Build homes for villagers and assign them jobs by equipping tools
- Level up villagers and unlock more than 140 upgrades across
- farming, fishing, construction, automation, and combat
- Defend the farm from nighttime skeleton raids alongside equipped villagers
So, if you think this farming sim is for you, wishlist it today on Steam!
